Adam Lippes Dress Designer

Adam Lippes, who is the Founder of the ADAM fashion collection, is a fashion designer from Buffalo, New York.

Adam got a degree in psychology from Cornell then continued his education in Paris with focuses in Art History and architecture.

After his studies he moved back to New York City and started working at Ralph Lauren. But he quickly moved to work for Oscar de La Renta and became its Global Creative Director.

In 2004 he decided that it was time to launch his own collection. He launched The Collection of Basics at Saks Fifth Avenue and it was quite successful. Back when Opra had her "Favorite Things" segment his collection appeared on it. It also won O's "Real World Style Awards."

After his initial success Adam has gone from cotton basics and become an entire sportswear collection.

Adam Lippes became a member of the prestigious trade association Council of Fashion Designer of America in August of 2007.

Over the next few months Adam would have articles in several top fashion magazines including Women's Wear Daily and Vanity Fair.

By the end of the year he would open his own boutique located in the Meatpacking Disctric in Manhattan.

Now his designs are being sold in more than 250 stores around the world.
